IT'S BEEN A WHILE!! BUT I'M BACK!!!!!!

This last year has been CRAZY for our family... so to recap a few things that have gone on

#1 We moved from LA county to the Inland Empire!! I didnt know how I was going to like the move since most of my life I grew up in L.A. But I absolutely L-O-V-E it here.. we get way more time to spend with Mulek since his shop is just down the street

#2 Already posted about this but we had our 6th baby Isley this past year too!!

#3 We found the PERFECT house for our family.. I am so in love with this house, we turned down buying a house to stay in this one... I don't know if I will be able to find a house to buy that is set up the way we need it to be ('eh hem' like this one!) This house is has just enough room for us.. Dont know how we ever fit in our last house..

#4 Gavin has been baptized ... I know its a whole year late but "better late then never" he really was excited and it was such a special day !

There was tons more but those were the MAJOR things that went on..

My sister in law.. Suvi wanted me to start couponing and of course I thought .. Ugh... .50 cents off of something whoopty doo!! but then I started researching coupons just to tell her I looked into it.. That is when I just I understood the coupon "game" I made a few rookie mistakes but I think I am doing pretty good for myself.. This is just a Video of the deal I got a Toys R Us the other day..

Sorry its a little dark but my kiddies were sleeping and I was in the room..

Oh and by the way... My kids are so into this.. especially Gavin.. if he wants something he will say look at your coupons and see if you and see if you can get it for free..

OK I know I am a dork but..... Who cares!! I love saving money!!

School is officially in full swing and that means things are more hectic around here ( i have to actually get up early) getting 3 kids ready and out the door by 7am is a bit frustrating at times. I guess it could of been worse and I could have had girls first.. Now homework is another story.. ugh...

On top of all of that we have added baseball to our life now... and it is just one more thing on my agenda to get done... But... I am LOVING it.. I love being outside just watching the kids play...

Got on 1st base... but the good luck runs out there The boy after him hit the ball and he ran to second and him and the ball made it to second at about the same time.. he would have been safe but he overran second... he was so upset cause he didn't understand.. "MOM, but I touched the base first" we tried to explain, but he still was upset.. I felt so bad for him ,.

Finally... this last game Zae did really good he got two balls and threw them to the right base.. we are so proud of him... he is the smallest on the team and really has no clue what he is doing.. he is getting the hang of it and really starting to enjoy himself now...

A few fun facts about our little Isley...

She is now 4 months (I cant believe it!)

she Just grew out of Newborn diapers...and now in size 1

she wants to be held constantly

and she just learned a new trick

she sucks her thumb...and while I am not sure how I feel about this.. it sure is cute. I have never seen a baby suck their thumb..

She is an awesome baby and I am so glad she came to our family... we just love her so much!

And as you all know life is not always full of good things....

and with 6 kids we have lots of these days..

Don't remember why she was throwing such a fit.. Aniya is my best listener, helper and most mature (besides Gavin) but sometime in the last few months she has been throwing fits.. I am guessing because the naps have disappeared.

since I have made a post.......guess i just wasn't really in the blogging mood

And guess what guys still not... so I'm just gonna ramble a min then post pictures at the end and see how far I get before Isley wakes up.

And last but not least.. for all the people who had doubted me!! I changed the breaks on my car.. and because of all of you guys that doubted me it made me think that this is something girls should know.. So I am going to make sure my boys and my GIRLS can do all of that kind of stuff.

First, Isley was blessed... we drove to AZ to have her blessed on the same day as her cousin Kanon. I made Isley's dress.. ha ha well attempted to... I don't think i did a bad job.. but it is what it is.. if you wanna see pictures check the link..---> I don't have pictures from the blessing because my camera has mysteriously disappeared. Nice huh... hopefully it will turn up when we move.. I hope... but don't worry guys cause I bought another one. It was such a nice trip not too long of a drive but long enough to have some nice conversations with the hubs while the kids slept.. I LOVE ROAD TRIPS.... to me they are so relaxing.. just listening to music and nice conversations.. Jason and Brit were the best hosts ever.. They planned nice meals for EVERY meal! Thanks Brit! We spent a lot of time at her moms house because her mom has a pool, that was so nice.. the kids did really well... Isaiah actually swam for his first time there.. and we almost had an accident there also... (this scenario plays over and over in my mind... it just really bothers me....) we had all gotten out of the pool so every one could eat.. then the kids of course wanted to get back in so I sat out there next to the pool while 5 kids got in the water and two, 2year olds wondered in the yard and one baby in my hand.. Then Brit came out to sit with me and then eventually mulek... we were just sitting there talking and then I saw someones feet go under the water (head first) so I run up to the edge of the pool and it was Kalaea and she was trying to hard to swim but she wasn't going anywhere ... I jumped in and got her.. but I just cant help but think what would have happened if i didn't turn my head just at that moment... I would have not notice until i didn't another count.. I asked her if she was scared and she said "no mom, cause you grabbed my hand." I guess it was only seconds... but it seemed like minutes to me.. ANYWAY.... Thanks Jason and Brittany for such a great time..

We haven't been up to much since we have been back. The kids started school!!! I cant believe I have 3 in school. Gavin is in the 3rd grade.. time goes by so fast.. We got his scores from last years state standards test.. he was tested in 3 categories, English, math and science... and he scored advanced in all three!!!! we are so proud of him.. Isaiah is in the first grade now and I am loving his teacher she really pushes the kids to do their best... if they don't she throws their papers away and makes them start over... Love it!! All I can say is Isaiah writes neater than Gavin does now! lol Aniya is in kindergarten... she is really liking it, she has made some new friends and some boy is even asking her on "dates"... she has told him a few times no and to leave her along... but he keeps bothering her so I am gonna have to go talk to the teacher.. I just wish kindergarten was full day!! she has really grown up this summer! she spends lots of time in the bathroom doing her hair.. and she does better than I did at 5.. don't know what I'm gonna do when she is 12 or 15... Help me!! Kalaea is supposed to be in preschool but they are retarded so I am now doing a preschool curriculum for 2 hours a day with Makai and Kalaea... still have some kinks to work out but it is going pretty good..

Isley of course is growing fast... its almost 4 months since she has come into this world.. she now follows us with her eyes, she smiles, and is a screamer not a mad scream its like a happy squeal.. she is usually a happy girl, but when she isn't she wants mom... If i try to have one of the other kids hold her for a sec so I can pee or cook or something... she just screams, but the second I touch her she stops... What a mamma's Girl! its frustrating sometimes but I just remember that these four months have gone by so fast and the next four are too and she wont want me to hold her in 4 more months.. I just love her and cant imagine our "little" family without her..

We have signed the boys up for baseball.. they have never played before and are on a minors team... Gavin has picked up pretty good.. Isaiah had got hit in the face with the ball 3 times already so now he is scared of the ball... he is doing really good for being the smallest on the team... the coach even has a nick name for him "little I" games start sept so I think it will be so fun to watch..

We all got together for my moms birthday and decided that we needed a pic with all of the grandkids... Now that there is 2 more.

He is such a great dad he took the time to "read" everyones card and look at all the pictures they colored and thanked and kissed every single one of them...

June 14th Aniya turned 5!!! I cant believe it has been that long!!

Here she is 5 years old!!

She wanted to do a sleepover... So I agreed!

We invited a few friends (cousins) there was 5 girls all together.

The dads took the boys and went to Uncle Lorenzo's house to watch the Basketball game, so the girls could have all the attention.

I had a few things planned for the girls to do....

We made visors (aniya has been wanting a visor for a while, dont know why) so we decorated them with puffy paint.. nothing too fancy most of the girls just put big globs of paint everywhere... so big most didnt even dry over night lol

I didnt get enough visors so Aubrey painted a paper plate... and she was very proud of her paper plate!

I didnt really plan on this activity it just sorta happened... I didnt frost the cupcakes cause they were too hot so when the girls started asking for cupcakes I got the stuff out to frost it then, they said "oh can we do it" so there ya go... it was pretty fun though...

So busy they didnt want to look up for a pic..

we had chocolate frosting and strawberry frosting and little princess sprinkles..

Hannah got creative with her cupcake and put the peanut M&M's on it... funny thing... they asked for cupcakes but after decorating 3 or 4 no one ate any...

I guess these cupcakes just looked too good to eat!!!!

While I didnt have an activity planned for every moment...

the girls entertained themselves, they played outside and made a little tent...

I think one of Aniya's favorite parts was when the girls were all chanting "Birthday Girl! Birthday Girl!" she liked being special.

Another activity I thought was really cute was to decorate pillow cases... I thought the girls would go crazy and draw all over and it would take up some time... well

Maybe they were tired or maybe that wasnt a good one for five year old... so most of them scribbled and wrote a few little pictures and that was it.... hahaha oh well...

The girls were really good... I was praying no one cried and had to go home... One cried but she decided to stay...yay... they all stayed on the blanket and watched the movie. One by one they fell asleep, except for one... she was wide awake... and I couldnt just go to bed (cause she was the one who "missed her mommy") so I sat on the couch waiting for her to fall asleep and I ended up falling asleep on the couch with Isley... I finally woke up a little later and she was asleep.. so I went to my room...

Later on....Here comes Aniya to sleep in my room and Makai, Natalie got up too, to to go sleep with her mom.. so there wasnt too many girls left.

I totally forgot to sing Happy Birthday to Aniya after I got all side tracked with the decorating of the cupcakes so we sang to her in the morning at breakfast...No, the cupcake was not for breakfast.. it was pancakes... you see what she is putting her hair in!

In the morning I was all by myself.. with 9 kids but it wasnt bad at all.... Everything ran really smoothly.

The night before we also forgot the open her presents.. so we did that after breakfast..

We had one more activity to do

we made necklaces and bracelets... I think the girls enjoyed this activity the most we did this for a long time... their necklaces looked really cute!!! I even wanted to make one... but as you can see Isley had other ideas

All in all I think it turned out really good for our first slumber party...

Aniya keeos telling me even still that "that was the best party ever!) so as long as she thinks so I guess the party was a success!!

Happy Birthday Aniya Papiya You are getting so big, such a good helper and a nice girl.. we love you, and I cant wait to see what the future holds for you.

Thanks to Michelle and Lorenzo I had a baby shower!! It was a surprise... and I was VERY surprised!

There was a skate park there so all the boys were practicing their skills.. I have to admit they were all pretty good... Having only been there 2 times..

Ok hoping this works, we can't get the internet to work so I'm trying to do this from my phone.

On Wed May 4 I had a doc appointment... So I went... Measuring 1 week behind and 2-3 cm dilated 50% effaced..Doc said she would see me in two weeks.... But didn't think I would make it that long... So I went home having contractions all day ( nothing new, I had been having contractions for the last 2 weeks) I went to bed late that night...had a midnight snack (thank goodness!) Woke up around 2:30 to use the restroom.. And then went back to bed.. Woke up around 3 with a few "gushes" thought I peed myself (not too uncommon lol) so I was back and forth from the bathroom not quite knowing what was going on there was no leaking in between so... I was really confused... Finally I decided to wake up Mulek and head to the hospital to get checked.... We get there they hook me up and sporadic contractions so we waited for a few test to be done to find out if my water really did break.. All the tests came back positive so we got to stay... We tried walking the halls the birthing ball and NO contractions... So I finally agreed to get the pitocin and from that point on my birth plan was out the window..kinda bummed...oh well... After I found out I was going to have to get the pit I contemplated an epideral and after a few tears I decided I would do it.. I started pit at 9:30 and got a few hard contractions before my epideral at 10... Awwww...feeling the numbness run from my butt to my leg.. Thought oh man this is goona be ok... Until ii realized it was only one butt cheek and one leg...then a contraction came and I felt it on one side... Oh MAN!! They tried to fix it but it didn't work... So...I just kept telling Mulek it didn't work... Soon I was 5 centimeters ... A few contractions later I was 7 then about 3 contractions after that I had to push!! She was out within 10 to 15 min... Covered in vernix!! She got an apgar of 7 then 9 born at 11:51am on MAY 5, 2010. Weighing my smallest at 5lbs 15oz!! We had a rough few days in the hospital I wanted to go home that night..didn't happen so I was promised at 24 hours we could leave... Well 24 hours came and the ped doc came in to deliver the bad news... She was preemie so the minimum stay is 48 hours...so I was a little pissed that I couldn't go home.... Then the vitals came... She was losing weight.. Despite how much she was nursing... She went from 5 15 to 5 8 to 5 4 that was 11% of her body weight... So they wanted me to supplement with formula... Wasn't really liking the idea until they wanted to keep us ANOTHER day!!.....so in tears I begged and pleaded and made a deal... I promised to suplement and take her back the next day...He reluctantly agreed and I got out of there as fast as possible.. I did keep my promise... But you can't force a baby to eat.. She pretty much refused the bottle.. So Doc appointment yesterday went pretty good.. She didn't lose weight she stayed the same so they are happy with that! I have an "over supply" of milk so no more suplementing for us YAY!! She does have a bit of jaundice so we have another appointment for Tues to check weight and jaundice levels... She is a little piggy and we just LOVE her to death!!

So I am a little behind on the belly pic.. Dont know what happened so here it is

Dont pay attention to the "back fat" rolling over my pants.. (ugh!)

The pregnancy is going pretty good.. The last month or so has been rough more throwing up and not eating and Heartburn like no other... Cant sleep, cant hardly walk (lol freaking hurts!) so yeah, Im in pain most of the time and uncomfortable, but at least this week I have been feeling better and eating too!

I think I posted before that I had only gained a whopping 7lbs this whole pregnancy... so my midwife was a little concerned that maybe baby wasnt growing right... so we had an ultrasound on Monday (19w2d) and she was measuring 19w4d (pretty much right on target, not smaller thats for sure!) and she weighs 3lbs 1oz!! I was reading online to see what baby should weigh at 29 weeks and it was between 2 and 2 1/2 pounds... I was hoping she was at least 2lbs (I was getting worried) and she was a little over 3lbs... So I am super happy that everything is good and she is weighing what she is supposed to...

Oh and on a side note... We still have no name for our little girl... We have found a few more that are in the mix now... so who knows!

We also had Gavin's Pine wood Derby race on Saturday It was his (our) first time so we had NO clue what to do and how to do it... so this is his car before the wheels were put on

Pretty good for first timers...

We warned him days before the race that he will probably lose because it is our first time and we have to practice and some of the other boys have done it a few times so they know a little more...

Well............... He lost...... Pretty fast

He was a little bummed but a good sport, and we all had a good time...

(Dont have pictures cause my camera is messed up, and my phone died)

Also.......... I have been a little bored and while I am not that good at sewing I try to keep myself busy!

Brittany wanted a swaddle blanket for her new baby so I offered to make one..

Hoping it works out and actually works...

If not (sorry Brit, I will buy you a real one lol)

We tried it out on one of the girls baby dolls seems to work ... but this baby doesn't move...

I am gonna be working on a few other things soon and hopefully they will turn out... if not at least I kept myself entertained....

We haven't been doing much lately Just the same ol' school homework and getting through the day....

As I said before Gavin joined scouts about a month ago and is just loving it! He had just a few days to receive his bobcat (I think thats what it was) and he did it.

Well I guess when the kids pass some things the mom gets a pin too.. so I got a little something too... So nice!

If you know me I really HATE spending money... I LOVE to save! So of course I look for deals EVERYWHERE... I found this swing on my way home from dropping kids off at school a neighbor was giving it away (FREE) so I picked it up and gave it a good wash down! It looks brand new!! So proud of myself! New (to me) swing FREE!

Loving it!! Just trying to keep the other kids off of it... Why must they try to sit in it.?!?!?

Now.... For the reason for this post!

Such a trouble maker............

The boys left their "ladder" against the tree and I catch Makai half way up it... oh gosh!

Now this "ladder is just leaning on the tree, its not nailed in or anything so its not that stable..

He gets to the top ... still not that happy with hisself he was hoping to get up into the tree...

What is this kid thinking...

And............

The girls came running to me... saying Makai was stuck... well I took my sweat time, and walked to the back room ( he is always stuck and I didn't hear any crying, I'm really not THAT mean.)

I found him like this.. and thought I could easily get him out... UH NO! He really was stuck! I told the girls to grab my camera while I thought of a way to get him out.... I couldn't make him go under or pull him from the top... at first he wasn't crying ... so I wasn't that worried...

Notice the toy bin he is standing on... dont know if that was just there or if thats how he climbed in there or if the girls put in under him (cause apparently they tried to rescue him before they came to get me).. but if he wasnt standing on it... He would be pretty much choking on that bar that is right under his chin... Lucky kid!

And last night I walked in to THIS...

Makai got into a tub of Vaseline.....

He was just playing away!! Glad he was having fun...

Of you notice all the little white round things... Yeah those are nursing pads... He was using those to wipe himself off when I first walked in... he was saying "Eww... Eww.." while wiping off the gunk with nursing pads! lol

Just wanted to show you how much he really had in his hair.. I think he thought it was gel...

Good thing he made me laugh cause this crap was hard to get out!

Gave him a bath... washed him 3 or 4 times and then washed his hair 3 times and I still had to rub him down with a towel after cause it just didn't come off... while I was still rubbing the stuff out of his hair he fell asleep! His hair was stuck like that cause I couldn't get it out... He looks like Bozo!

Birth Plan!!

I am a HUGE "birth junkie" I guess you could call it... I love to watch births and am hoping after my kids have grown up a little to become a doula and then a midwife... Some people may think I have gotten "weird" (my Brother, and probably others who aren't as brave to say it to me..haha) I just have educated my self on the matter..

Either way.. I have talked to my Midwife about "catching" my own baby this time around, since it will be my last.. She actually told me that it is a possibility in a Hospital setting ( I would love a Homebirth, but also a scardy cat, I always think something is wrong with me) So she wrote it on my charts and she also told me to write a Birth Plan so that is what I did...

BIRTH PLAN

LABOR:

Have husband present at ALL times.

Would like to avoid pain medications, and try natural methods first (please encourage these)

1. walking

2. Swaying

3. change positions (would rather not be on back)

4. massages

5. Also open to other suggestions

I do not mind having cervical exams

Monitoring

1. Whatever allows me to move freely

DELIVERY

Please encourage me to deliver in an upright position

1. Kneeling

2.Squatting

3. On "all fours"

4. use of squatting bar

Would like a "HANDS OFF" delivery

I am so excited! 13 more weeks (which really means like 11weeks)

My pregnancy is going as good as it can, I guess. My last OB appointment shows a total weight gain of 7lbs, heartrate good, measuring right on target... but due to the little weight gain... I have to get another ultrasound for size of baby to make sure she is growing..

I am still throwing up at 27 weeks! I cant sleep at all, but I am SO tired. I have heartburn constantly! (I cant even drink, or eat without having heartburn as it goes down) the skin by my ribs feels like it is stretched to the limits.. I have a little something called SPD (Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction) its when the hormones are a little higher than normal and cause the ligaments in the pubic bone and hips to relax a little too MUCH and a little too SOON... I it hurts to lay down, it hurts to sit, to get dressed, to walk, to pretty much to anything! the only thing that feels good is to sit with my legs spread as far apart as possible.. Not to lady like huh! Another thing that is too Lady like is peeing myself a few times a day.. EVERYDAY... Laughing coughing, sneezing, yelling... so if you see me "brace myself".. (holding belly and curling up) I am trying to avoid peeing my pants!

We have had an eventful last week or so...

Jason, Brittany, and Bostyn came down to visit for Jason's Birthday

Happy Birthday Jas!!

So of course the boys all HAD to have sushi and this time the girls tagged along..

Kayla decided to "try something new" so she ordered Calamari while the rest of us girls just ate some good ol' Teriyaki chicken.. she also decided to try some of the sushi I think she tried the spicy tuna.... either way........

She was having a hard time getting it down...

Needless to say she spit it out

I have to say I was impressed with there "matching skills" they got those blocks in the right spots...

They were pretty pleased with themselves too!

The next day we decided to take a trip to the LA Zoo... Super fun... but Super exhausting. We had a party of 17....8 of them were kids.. 8 kids under 8! (mostly mine lol) and Two pregnant women (I was DYING, dont know about Brit)

So of course the boys will be boys ................

Oh we decided to buy a wagon to pull around all our food and children (well just two of them)

And after all the fun and excitement at the ZOO I was ready to go home and relax... my hips were KILLING me... I could hardly walk... so bed time it was as soon as we walked in the door....

Aniya started having a pretty bad Asthma attack that I couldnt get under controll

so ER it was..

and of course when we got there she was feeling a little bettter (isnt it always that way!)

Poor baby... she kept asking if the sun was going to be up when we went home and i told her Yeah it will be light out when we go... and she kept saying... "well I didnt get to sleep" she must have been just as exhausted as me...

And the last thing is ...

Gavin has joined the scouts... And he had one week to complete his Bobcat for the Blue and Gold meeting they are having on Fri... He did it in 3 days...

Good job Gavin....

He is loving scouts... he even told me "I want to be in scouts for the rest of my life, its so fun"

so I guess that is it for now............

There have been a few things going on lately nothing too important.. And all the pic are kinds jumbled up this time.. oh well...

First off, its time for belly shots once again... I feel so freaking tiny this time... guess its a good thing cause I really hate being uncomfortable... I must look preg because complete strangers say "oh your expecting" and etc.. so I guess I am past the "is she chubby or preg stage"

so Heart burn, restless nights, and back ache have all set in and I am sure they are here to stay for a while...

We still dont have a name!!

I got Mulek to agree on Leilani but... I am not 100% IN LOVE with it so I am looking for something better...

I found a super great deal online to get a free(+ shipping and handling( so 9.95)) nursing cover... I have never used one before so I thought I would get one... Then Stacy told me she made them then I thought OH I will just get one from her then, I got to thinking and I had a lot of material I wasnt using so I thought I would give it a try... This is my first attempt... Turned out really good if I do say so myself... It is for my sis Brittany.

I made pockets on both of the bottom corners for whatever ( I will use it for nursing pads, but binkies or whatever you may need will work) just in case, ya know.

Gavin has been such a big help lately...

I walked into the room one morning and saw this... he was changing Makai (I NEVER ask the kids to change diapers) but he did all on his own.. It was a good poopy one too... guess he couldn't stand the smell... lol

He also told me today he needs to practice so he can change his little sisters diapers when she comes.. What eight year old WANTS to change diapers especially and 8yr old BOY... Just one more reason why we love Gavin so much!

Once again Gavin got an award and school and of course we wouldn't miss it... This is after, they have donuts and juice with the family...

Gavin had and ant report to do for 2nd grade he had to write one page and pick one of three projects to complete...

He TYPED his report and chose to do 2 out of the 3 projects..

this the beginning of his ant hill model that he had to make... I didnt get a end shot but it turned out really good.

And this is the begging of his Ant model didnt get the finished product either but it also turned out really good.

And of course....

Isaiah also had a project due that he told me of last minute.. He had to make a gingerbread man... He also did a good job

so for now that is what we have been doing...

Makai has started a new thing he pretends to be a puppy. Usually he just barks and crawls around the house and we pet him, but then he picked up some socks with his mouth so I thought I would see if he would fetch...lol and he knew just what to do......

After 2 years of having my sewing machine.. I finally figured out how to use it.. Now I am not the best but here are some crafts I have been working on..

Bibs... I still need to put some Velcro.. not the greatest design but I'm just practicing.

Burp cloths... I wish I would have done the back pink but I had these cut out two years ago and who knew I was gonna have a girl... It will still work..

Over the holidays Jason and Brittany came down to visit.. And I was amazed to see Bostyn and Makai play together.. I have never seen such young "tots" play so well. There was never a fight! So I decided to go down memory lane ( in their short little lives) We miss them so much!

They used to live here in Cali and we had babies at the same time (well 6 weeks apart)

Me and Brittany (well Me I don't know about Brit) were determined for them to be buddies.

We had a really busy few days around Christmas time.. First we always celebrate Christmas Eve with the Patrick side at the Institute... so while all the adults chatted the kids played in the "playroom"

And Makai of course knows exactly what he want... hahaha

These two amazed me... I have never seen such young "toddlers" so buddy buddy.. they did everything together. The whole time they were together they would check to make sure the other was following them, I wish we would have got a pic, but they were hiding behind a couch getting into someones diaper bag, so cute!

Right after this party we all came to my house to open presents once again, (somehow when we were growing up we convinced my mom to let us open ONE present on Christmas Eve when we got back from the party and it stuck....) It was usually pajamas but it has evolved... plus this year Jason and Brittany had to leave that night so we did our exchange with them then too... (no pics once again..someone was slacking)

Then it was Christmas day and we had out own little family time....

Here is my belly shot... that I have never done with any of the other kids and now regret so I am doing it this time (the last time....lol)

I hope to do one every month.. I wanted to do one at 12 weeks but man time is flying by this time. first trimester is long gone and I am starting to feel better. I just realized last night I haven't thrown up in a week (or even gagged for that matter)

So anyways here is a belly shot of today... 15w2d

Well I was gonna post a video of Isaiah dancing but I am a retard so... if you really want to see it, it is on my facebook.

Makai is now talking.... Its about time.... When you call his name he says "what?" he says more, mama, sings itsy bitsy spider and everything else he mimics... which until the last few weeks he would REFUSE to do... so I am happy this child is talking Finally! He sleeps through the night (about time) so I guess the next step is potty training... so hopefully by the time #6 comes along he will have the hang of it (hopefully)

Gavin got his report card today and (they dont do ABC they do # 0-4, 4 being the over the top should be in the next grade) so as for now he has all 3 one 3+ and one 3- so we are on the right track and he is doing really well in school.

I have a confrence with Zae's teacher tomorrow and with Aniya's teacher on Wed so I will update their progess later this week..

I have had enough... well maybe not. :)

Some days when I have just had a bad day and just had enough..... The kids always do or say something to make me think I can do this just one more day... And today was one of those days:

Makai is teething and possibly has a earache, he hasnt been sleeping well lately...(after a few weeks of sleeping through the night) So today he got up at like 5:30-6am... Okay really? Its saturday... can I sleep in until like 7 or 8... but no... so I was up early... Then Mulek had to work, so he left and then I get a call that his car breaks down... REALLY... So I have to go get him and take him to work, then figure out how to get the car back to the house... so I get that all straightend out... it took me about 2-3 hours and the kids had to sit in the car the whole time... so they were getting bored... and what better to do when your bored than to irritate your siblings... I mean it SOOOO much fun!! so I have a car full of crying kids... My Grandma gave them gum... and well of course it is now stuck in someones hair... So for the 2nd time this week Kalaea has gum in her hair... So I tell her "well you dont get to have gum anymore because you keep getting it in your hair." and she said... ( lol) "Well, I was just trying to save it back here" (as she points to the back of her neck) "I was gonna save it for Gavin, I was just gonna save it."
"SAVE IT???" Then I remember they have been watching 'Willy Wanka' and that one girl puts gum behind her EAR to save it cause she is trying to set the world record ..... So that is why she had gum stuck there TWICE this week.... so now that my bad day has come to and end... I cant stop laughing, and thinking what my life would be like with out seeing the world through my kids eyes, and this just makes all my bad days worth it... So as Thanksgiving is right around the corner I have alot to be thankful for definately for my kids and the laughs they bring me everyday... I am even grateful for the bad days... I am gratefull my husband still has a job, that I can stay home (finally) and gratefull that we have the opportunity to bring these babies into our family! Happy Thanksgiving!

As many of you know, Aniya goes to preschool this year.. well she came home one day telling me what happened at the end of the day... (At the end of the they have lunch then all sit on the floor with a book until the parents sign them out, oh there are 2 bean bags and the rest is a carpet that they have to sit on) She said she was done and got called first to get a book so she got to sit on the bean bag, but she forgot to push her chair in so she had to get up to puch it in and while she was doing that another child got on the bean bag.. so she had to sit on the carpet... then she started saying "so and so is a little "midget" and I was like HUH? First of all thats not very nice, second of all does she know what a midget is? So, I asked her if she knows what that means and she says... " Yeah, you know those little white worms, that go in the trash." Then I was confused for a second..... Oh ... She meant MAGGOT!! .... OH my gosh!! Thats even worse!.... But it was SO funny.. It cracks me up everytime i think about it...

Ok, I have been a little behind on my blog... I know, I know.... What's new... But I do have really good reasons this time.... Soon after school started I found out I was pregnant... YAY!.... but then a few weeks later I started feeling super sick... I have what they call Hyperemesis Gravaderum (severe nausea and vomitting during pregnancy)... So in two weeks I had lost a fair amount of weight so they put me on some meds to help with the nausea....the first day it worked great then the next day not so much... I actually had to days with no meds and felt wonderfull.... yeah well those two days came and went... but I finally hit my 12 weeks so by 16 weeks my Midwife says ... I should be fully "better"... Go back to Midwife on monday to see if I gained or lost weight.. if I gained Yay! If I lost... well I may have to go to the hospital for IV's. I have had 2 ultrasounds so far.. and they moved my due date back about a week so May 29 is now the day..(even though I wont make it even close) I have a little belly ( I think its mostly fat, but it is bigger than before) I do plan on doing belly pic this time... I didnt with any of the other kids and now I am a little bummed.. We get to find out the sex of baby #6 on DEC 22nd.... Mulek is hoping for a girl.... I have a feeling its a girl and the kids are convinced they are having a sister.... Any guesses???....

Kids have been doing good in school. No major happening with them lately and not too many outings since I have been staying close to the toilet... .....

A little update

The kids have been in school for a month now...Things are going a little more smooth around here... Gavin is in the sencond grade and not too sure about his teacher... Apparently she likes to scream at the kids and he isnt too comfortable with that... We have debated on whether or not to take him out of that class into a "nicer" class but relized there are going to be people in his life that he needs to learn how to handle.. So we are praying that the year goes by smoothly for him. He is such a smart boy and we know he will figure out how to get through this year with a "crazy" teacher. Zae is in Kindergarten and he loves going to school, he is picking up lots of new things and LOVES his teacher... He has had to pull his color a few times so... not exactly sure what is going on there... I think he just talks to much.... He must get that from his Dad. Aniya is in preschool 3 hours a day and she Loves her teachers too... she is up and ready to go everymorning... she even picks out her hairstyle and clothes the night before... Everything has to be just perfect! She is more like a teenager... dont know what I am gonna do with her when we get to that point! She is also starting speach therapy this year... she isnt too bad just a few sounds but I am glad we are getting is over soon hopefully we wont need speach next year... And Kalaea and Makai stay home with me... I told Kalaea torwards the end of summer "Its just gonna be you and me!" and everyday when I drop off the kids at school on the way home she says "Mom its just you and me, and me and you !" so cute... she wishes she could go to school so bad.. she askes everyday when it is her turn.. Makai is getting bigger... still not saying much just MaMa and Uh oh and he sings "itsy bitsy spider" And thats about it.

     As for our sleep training.... cant tell if its going good or not... he was waking up the same amount then all of a sudden last night he only woke up once... so I am totally cluless...

   And One last thing.. if you havnt noticed the ticker at the top of the page .... Yes we are having Baby #6....

"Mommy Sleep Diaries" (or non sleep) Night 1

I have deciede to track my progress with Makai... I am totally at my wits end with this waking up every hour (literally) I mean come on its been A YEAR! So I have gotten alot of advice from alot of people and most of it is either Cry-it-out.. or deal with it... I new Cry-it-out was not for me... so I decieded to deal with it.. then I just wanted it to end... so I tried a version of Cry-it-out... I put him in bed, but I stayed there patting and shh shh shhing and reasurring... but he got so up set with me pushing my hands away when I would try to pat him and just screaming MaMa MaMa... I was done after 20 minutes...(It felt like an hour!)... So I am on my quest again 3 months later to get some quality sleep. I went to the library and got four or five books on sleep... There was one "No Cry Sleep Solution" so I am trying that...

Last Night was night number one..... This is how my night went

7:00 Bath
7:30 Boys bath and girls go to bed
8:00 Boys in bed and time to get Makai to sleep
8-8:30 I nursed him and he fell asleep
Oh maybe I should say last night was his first night in the boys room, no more sleeping with mom and dad!
9:45 he wakes up and I just nurse him back to sleep
11:15 up Patted him rocked him and back to sleep pretty quickly
(really my point is for him to sleep with out being nursed, that is the only way he will fall asleep)
1:20 up patted him , shh shh, and had to eventually take him out to rock him...
3:00 up patted , shh shh shhed, so I lay next to his bed on the floor and keep shhing cause he seems to be falling asleep on his own...
I am thinkin oh my gosh I am gonna get him to sleep, this is so great

3:30 pops up with Mama Mama and refused to lay down... He started screaming so of course I picked him up and took him to my room and nursed him (but didnt let him falls asleep nursing) I "popped" him off and layed him on the floor (yes on the floor) in my room and he put himself to sleep in 30 minutes...
4:15 he wakes up with Mama Mama and i say shh shh and he looks and me and lays down and goes back to sleep WOOOOO HOOOOO (maybe)
6 back up sh sh and back to sleep
7 up shs shh and back to sleep
7:30 up for the day....

This is already improvement on the night before where I nursed him to sleep every hour. I only nursed him 3 times ..... The point of this is to try to get him to learn how to fall asleep on his own.... Why after 5 kids is he the one that I am having problems with?? Hoping to get my sleep back soon.

Ok, I need to catch up once again... I promise I will do more once the kids finally get back to school and I have a little more time. First Makai's First birthday just past on Aug 12.. we didnt do anything big yet.. just a small 'Happy Birthday' at our house.. here he is enjoying his first cake..

As you can see it was long gone before I could get a chance to take a pic..

Happy Birthday to my BABY... I am so sad.. he isnt a baby anymore... He is walking, has full on conversations with you (through babble, so freakin cute) and copies everything the big kids do.. The older kids love him so much and he is so spoiled by them.. especially Gavin.. they have such a great bond!

We have had tons of activities going on this summer.. but the last few weeks (since Brittany decieded to ditch me, and kayla has started school) I have just stayed around the house and relaxed while the kids play outside with the neighborhood kids... This is what 7 boys came up with last night....

They decided to make a tree house in the tree in the front yard... They all went collecting wood from eachothers housed and came back and made a little hang out... I have to say it was pretty awsome.. They made a "bed" up there with cushions from a couch and they have a few seats up there.. there is 7 of them... one kid brought his radio and they were bumpin' music and singing, then another boy decided to bring a dvd player and they watched Transformers... It was awsome! (these kids are only 7-10 years old)

Then their "ladder" broke so they decided to use the pieces (rails from a crib) as light sabers... I wasnt too sure I thought someone would get hurt... but .... I thought well I will just let them be... they were having lots of fun!

I knew it..... they stopped playing on their own and I wasnt the bad guy....
I love having the neighborhood kids at my house.. I hope it is always like that until they are grown... I would for my house to be "that" house that the kids always come to, to hang out..
They are getting so big.... :(

We also redid the girls room... I re-painted it and put another bed in..

But as you can see they still like to sleep together...

Seriously... I would love to have a bed to myself...

Little miss Aniya... dont ask.... I dont know where she gets her poses from... she just said.."mommy, take my pic" then posed....

Then of course Kalaea had to copy her...

And today Aniya found her way up the tree... I hadnt let her go up because I am afraid she may fall... she is too little...

She soon found that out on her own.,...

Then a bit of relief on her face as I help her down...

summer is almost over and I can not wait for school to start...

Aniya to preschool....

That mean I only have 2 kids part day

On our first full week of summer we all decided to go on an outing with the kids.... Jason and Brittany took us to Azusa Canyon...

It was so great, there were deep places for "swimming" and shallow places for the babies to actually sit and just play in the water... I should have taken a pic of the two babies paying in the water but they kept putting the rocks in there mouth...

Mulek took us on another trip... and we landed in Laguna beach....

There were rocks EVERYWHERE and the tide pools everywhere.... They were supposed to be closed but as you can see, we didnt obey those signs...

Aniya turned four this year, I cant believe it!! She is so excited for Preschool next year and cant wait to make new friends... And I am so sad my first little girl is gonna be in school..

We had a small celebration with cake and ice cream and a few presents from her brothers and sisters

And of course some cake

I took her out just the two of us to dinner at Macaroni Grill

and then after to go get our nails done at the salon... dont have pic of that wish I did...
At the salon she was getting flowers painted on her toes and when the lady was done the manager came by and was talking to Aniya and Aniya told her "this one is a little bit and this one is alot." and the manager started laughing and I was like what is going on and then she told me that her flowers werent even ... Ha Ha one was bigger than the other one... She is definately a girly girl.... she thinks she is a princess and is obsessed with them, if you cant tell, she is wearing her princess costum in most of the pic... (even though that thing has seen better days!)

Well in an attempt to catch up here is what has been going on the last month or so.....

Makai has taken up a love for skateboarding. He just watches what the older boys do and he copies them..He is so freakin smart, he pushed the skate board over to the fence so he could use the fence to stand up!

Zae is our comedian he is always making us laugh! He loves to dress up.....

One of the many reasons why I love my husband... He brought flowers home for no reason just to bring em..... love you babe!

Worst Fears!

If you live here in Cali then you know last night we had an earthquake (not to big, but enough to feel) We had a long day yesterday at a school picnic with games and animals and lots of fun. So we were pretty tired when we got home yesterday especially the three little ones with no nap. So of course the bedtime routine went rather smoothly and the kids were sleeping by 8:30.
Let me just give you a little background...... I HAVE PROBLEMS! Mulek works alot of hours and alot of the time he works nights so I am at home by myself with the kids. The more kids I have the worse I seem to get... I am always running scenarios in my head... "what if we run off a cliff into some water... how do I get all the kids out of the car and out of the water, none can swim and their all in car seats" (not like we even live near cliffs or water) and "what happens if someone breaks into tyhe house?" andI have more likely ones like "How do I get to all the kids in a fire, or earthquake?" Now I actually picture myself "going through the motions" who to get first and where to go and how to get them out.. These things are constantly running through my mind everyday in every situation... ( I told you I have problems!)
So back to last night. The boys have school so I made them go to their room. I was still nursing Makai so I let the girls stay in the front until I got him to sleep and off to bed. So finally Makai is down and I put him in my room in his bed and close the door. So now I come back to the front and WHOO HOO the girls are already asleep... so I pick Aniya up and take her to her room... then I come back and I start watching the rest of my show that was on.. Kalaea was sleeping with her pillow and blanket at my feet and I was just about to take her to her room when I start to hear a loud noise just getting louder (and my neighbors were in their front yard gettting drunk and they started whoo hooing ) and then I just knew like 1 sec before I felt it... "OH CRAP, you have got to be kidding me... who do I get first..." so I get up, grab Kalaea take her and drop her off at the doorway of the boy's room, Gavin is up by then with that "Mooommm" and I told him to get Zae and come to the door (as calmly as I possibly could) then I am off to the next room, My room where the baby is all by himself... so I open the door and grab him then, go across the hall the get Aniya... but it is just about over by now... so I grab her (not to nicely I am still holding Makai) and kind of throw her into the boys room where the rest of the kids are waiting....
(sigh) It's over !
I Just about lost my mind! I couldnt get to all the kids in time! I know this wasnt that bad but what if it was.... I am just going crazy... I call Mulek but no answer... His phone died... so I call my mom and just cry.... I cant believe I couldnt get them all... she tells me its ok and I didnt need to get them all... BUT I HAVE TO BE SUPER MOM .... I JUST HAVE TO BE ABLE TO SAVE THEM ALL....
So now I am reviewing my plans in emergencies and trying to convince myself that everything will be ok and if there was a major earthquake I would have plenty of time to get us all at a safe place or at least all together...
but for now my worst fears were confermed last night.

Mother's Day

I had such a great Mother's day...
We started Saturday just driving around we ended up in Compton ( I know not the nicest place) where Mulek grew up as a kid. We just drove around for a few hours and talked about our childhoods and what we want for our kids. We saw a carnival at Mayfair park so we stopped went on a few rides got a few funnel cakes and headed home for a "movie night"...
It was such a nice day!

Friday after work Mulek came home with a little surprise and well I cant wait so of course I wanted it right then and he just cant wait to give it to me either so of course I got what I wanted!

I got a nice card...

If you cant read the card it says if I match what I scratch off then I win what ever it says...
And what do you know I won "all his love" awwww
WOOO HOOO!!

And in the bag was a new watch (that I have desperately needed)
And I just absolutely just LOVE it.. The pic doesn't do it justice but it will have to do (and you can excuse my laundry... at least its clean!)

I tried to get a pic of all the things that I got for mothers day... sorry kids I know I missed a few things... but I got a card from each one of the kids and a plant from Isaiah (not pictured because we planted it outside) and placemat from Gavin and Flowers and a card and my watch from mulek... I also dont have pictured what I came home to after church... a nice lunch with a mothers day cake! I just love my Husband and my kids...

I also just wanted to say a Happy Mother's Day to my mom who has raised me with love and understanding and I just hope that I can do the same for my kids!

Whenever Mulek get the weekends off we always go somewhere with the kids (mostly so I can get out of the house) We always want to go to new places and alot of the time we spend our weekends driving around site seeing. Mulek gets an opportunity to work in a ton of different places and he usually finds some neat places to go. So a few weeks ago he was working near a park/nature walk..
So when the weekend came he thought it would be a nice place to take the kids so off we went for a drive...

We brought some bread for the ducks...

Who weren't really as interested as we thought they might be but they did get pretty close.. Kalaea kept trying to "pet" them every time they came near so they didnt stay for too long

Then we came across these little guys..
Now when we passed I saw all these holes and I thought they were chipmunks (do they even live in the ground) anyways they were all over the place under these bushes as we passed.

They weren't chipmunks they were squirells (yes I know what squirells look like but I have never seen little teeny tiny baby ones crawl out of holes in the ground) but there were big (huge) ones and they were not scared at all! This huge one came running up to Mulek and I was freaking out I mean do squarells usuall chase you? As you can see Gavin is a bit freaked out too (because the squarell came running up and I was screaming "watch out, not too close it will bite you!")

But they were nice, they just wanted the bread so we sat the kids down and put the bread right out in front of them (I did not want them taking it from their hands) and they came right up to take the bread and then ran away quickly, so I dont have the greatest pic but I did the best I could.

I could not believe that these guys would come so close especially since my kids are not the quietest kids and they dont sit still very well but no worries they didnt care..

I could have stayed and fed these guys all day but no one else was as impressed as me so we moved on... to the playground!

Glad we get to explore the "world" and find new and exciting places to take the kids we have lots of fun, Thanks Mulek for finding all our "family spots".

Easter and Isaiah's birthday!
Isaiah turned 5 in the beginning of April, I cant believe it! He will be starting kindergarten next Sept. I can remember when it was just the two boys and now they are so big. I dont have a pic of them coloring eggs all together, because they didnt. I had to do it in groups. The boys did it together and the girls did it together I mean could you imagine the mess.

I HAVE TO GIVE A BIG THANK YOU TO BRITTANY AND JASON..
WHO WERE BRAVE ENOUGH TO KEEP THE KIDS 3 DAYS WHILE I WENT TO VEGAS...
They kept the kids even though they had/was getting over the flu. She had the kids all day while Jason was at work and I am sure it was crazy over there with 2 babies and 4 extra kids running around.. But when I showed up after three days she still had a smile on her face..
The kids had a blast and she made it easier for me to leave the kids (i have never left them anywhere) she is the best sis-in-law I could ask for
Thank you guys so much..

We went to vegas for Kayla's 21st birthday

It was just us girls... Me kayla and our mom.Kayla messing around 10 minutes into the car ride

5 minutes after that she was fast asleep, for the rest of the way.

Once we got there the first thing we did was get an "aqua massage" man it felt so good...

Family field trip

When there is a break from school I like to take the kids places so we can get out of the house... and I love FREE....
So we took a trip to the Nature walk.

Gavin had a jog-a-thon at school so we all took a little field trip to his school to watch him run (jog)

I told him to wear shorts and stuff by the way... but he likes to wear long sleeves and pants... (everyday) so he was a little hot... He said to me when he was done.. " I wore long sleeves and my head isn't even as sweaty as the other kids."
